When we contracted Covid in early August (after being quadruple-vaxxed), I called my doctor to try to score some Paxlovid, since my husband and I are both in our 70s. My doctor refused, saying she was seeing too many side-effects, including one of her patients who landed in ICU for 5 days due to Paxlovid side-effects. Apparently it worked well for Joe Biden, but a number of others haven't found it to be a quick-fix.

Good luck recovering. I found the Covid fever to be the worst. Once that passed, just the coughing and sore throat issues. It took 12 days for my husband to test negative, 10 for me ... but the hoarse sore throat lingers.
