Interesting. I have never heard this expression--"can't be arsed"-- in my life, until now. I gather it means, can't be bothered (as in, won't get off one's "arse" to do something). True enough, you must put in the effort to get off your "arse" and add value, one way or another, if you expect to see a reward.
