I moved into a 55+ community with my husband when I was 58 and he was 64. we pay a "pad fee," we own the home but not the land. At first, yes, I felt like many were older than me. I was homesick as we had moved across the country. All new settings take adjustment. I love it now. I have many friends and there are lots of activities (fitness, line dancing, bridge, golf, pool).
