I hear you. My mom was in a Salvation Army-run nursing home for 20 years, their second-longest “resident” ever. The staff were kind and well-intentioned, but overburdened. To say caregiving is draining doesn’t even really cover it, I know that. But “this, too, shall pass.” There will be happier days. Believe it.
