Interesting that you should find such disparity in the habits of exchange students from elsewhere. We all rely on the same planet, so yes, there should be more consistency--but who would introduce and monitor that? I guess there should be an international treaty like the Paris Climate Agreement to get everyone on the same page. Although, we can't even get countries meeting those commitments. Discouraging.
